ONLY THROUGH JESUS

John 14:6 “Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Only through Jesus can living water flow; only through His living water will we know; only through Jesus do we gain eternal life; and only through Him conquer strife. Only through Jesus’ heavenly flow will we be released from here below. His kingdom is our goal, where His living waters flow.*

The Scene: 1)The stream flowing from the Rock, through the desert and through the name of Jesus, representing the living water of the Word. 2) The desert representing the world, a dry & dead land, where nothing grows without water. 3) Three birds flying in the background represent the presence of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Psalm 105:41 “He opened the rock, and water gushed out; like a river it flowed in the desert.”

Jesus has offered eternal life to every person by His sacrifice on the cross and by His resurrection. Jesus has said to all who will, “Come”. Everyone has or will make a decision to come to Him or not by faith. Jesus has said, “Choose life.”

John 7:38 “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”

Revelation 22:17 ” The Spirit and the bride say “Come!” And let him who hears say “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.”

PUT THE HAMMER DOWN

Jeremiah 23:29 ” Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”

God’s people need to learn God’s Word to mature in the faith, but also so they can defend the faith (apologetics) and to show non-believers the error of their beliefs and teach them the Truth of the Word.

The Scene: 1)The HAMMER: God’s Word, The Holy Bible

2) The TITLE: “Put the hammer down”-slang term,meaning: a) get with it; hurry up; accelerate; speed up. b) put an end to.

3) Alternate titles: Bring the hammer down; drop the hammer, to break or crush something.

4) ROCKS: Representing hindrances to salvation; false teachings.

5) ROADWAY: Life’s path and it’s hindrances.

Timothy 2:15 ” Do your best (study) to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Now is the time to “put the hammer down.”

LIVING EPISTLES

LIVING EPISTLES

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 ” You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of the human heart.”

As living letters, God’s people carry the good news to a hurting world that needs the Savior.

Acts 5:42 ” Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.”

He, God, has placed His laws in our hearts so that true believers may be living epistles.

1 John 4:7-8 ” Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

The Scene: 1) The letter: represents God’s people. 2) The heart stamp: showing that God’s love is forever.

John 15:12 ” My command is this: love each other as I have loved you.”

OUR EVERLASTING LIGHT AND PROTECTOR

Psalm 84:11 ” For the Lord our God is a sun & shield, the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

To believers in Jesus Christ, He is light. He lights our way to salvation. Without Jesus Christ the whole world is darkness, full of all kinds of evil (sin.)

Psalm 118:27 ” The Lord is God, and he has made light to shine upon us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar. ”

The Lord is our shield, protector. All who call upon His name, Jesus, will be saved.

Romans 10:9 “That if we confess with our mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

THE GOD OF GLORY THUNDERS

Psalm 29:3-4 “The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.”

The Scene: A waterfall representing the living Word of our God, that thunders throughout the world.

Ezekiel 43:1-2 ” Then the man brought me to the gate facing east, and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters and the land was radiant with his glory.”

To some, His voice is but a wee small voice whispering to them because they know His voice. They listen and do what He says. To others, who try to run away from God, His voice is booming, like a roaring river, trying to get their attention, to listen to Him, because He loves them.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”

JESUS OUR FRIEND

John 15:15 “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Many people in the Bible are cited as having been friends to others, such as:

Ruth to Naomi: Ruth 1:16 “But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.”

Jonathan to David: 1Samuel 20:4 ” Jonathan said to David, “Whatever you want me to do I will do.”

Elisha to Elijah: 2 Kings 2:2 “Elijah said to Elisha, ” Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.”But Elisha said, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.”

Thomas to the rest of the disciples: John 11:16 ” Then Thomas (called Didymus) said to the rest of the disciples, “Let us also go, that we may die with him.”

Many profess friendship, even unto death. But only one went all the way to the cross, for his friends, His name is Jesus (The Lord saves). We believers in turn are called to be friends with Jesus by our actions.

John 13:34-35 ” A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so must you love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, If you love one another.”

John 15:14 ” You are my friends if you do what I command.”

The Scene: The Cross, The” Tree of Death” became “The Tree of Life” Jesus gave His all for us. With His sacrifice, He gave everyone the opportunity to have the Tree of Life “spring” forth from the cross and His resurrection.

BE HOLY

BE HOLY

Job 10:10″ Did you not pour me out like milk and curdle me like cheese?”

The Scene: Swiss Cheese: God always has a message for true believers and has a sense of humor; this can also be a play on words.

God made us, it seems, to be like Swiss cheese! Swiss cheese is full of holes. How did it get that way? Good bacteria is introduced early in the process and intermingled with whey.* The bacteria form bubbles of carbon dioxide (CO2), a gas,** called eyes. These bubbles find their way to the surface of the forming cheese and burst. The older the cheese gets the larger the holes become.

** CO2 a gas is odorless & colorless, like the Holy Spirit, cannot be seen,but is present and acting on our lives. The enlarging holes represent the christian’s growth into maturity, so we can worship God and bring others to Him. God’s people were and continue to be created for His purposes; To worship Him in spirit and in truth and to enlarge His kingdom

* whey is a liquid that separates from the curd. God’s Word is often referred to as a liquid called Living Water

As we read God’s Word daily , we can ask Him to show us, tell us through His Holy Spirit, what He wants us to know about Him. The longer God’s Spirit works on us the holier we will be.

Psalm 100:3 ” Know that the Lord is God, It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.”

I AM YOUR GOD

I AM YOUR GOD (“Trust in Me”)

Psalm 139:7-10 ” Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; If I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the seas, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast.”

The Scene:1) H-O-P-E, an acronym; His Omnipresence Provides Encouragement;

2) Sunshine: Rays of sunshine, representing hope.

3) Post rock: Jesus is our rock; The post rock holds the fence.

4) Fence: (5) strands, Holy Bible number for grace.” The fence prevents evil from entering. His grace is sufficient for me”.

Psalm 25:3 – 5 ” No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”

When our rock of hope seems to be crumbling, cracking, falling apart, God wants us to remember, I AM the God of hope. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”

TROUBLE IN THIS WORLD

TROUBLE IN THIS WORLD

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

1 John 5: 4-5 “For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

The Scene: The tornado represents trouble in this world. The Christian’s trouble can seem like a tornado. The tornado’s path is unpredictable. The tornado’s path may take it along the ground, going left or right, or up or down, hitting some things, missing others. Such is life with its ups and downs. However, God in His Word tells us that no matter the circumstances, Jesus is with us. If we are faithful, He is faithful. His Word tells us so. With His help we will win, overcoming the world and its troubles.

FILLED WITH HIS WORD

John 7:38(NAS) ” He whoever believes in me, as the Scripture said, from his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.”

The Holy Spirit said to me, “To those who believe and trust in Me, I AM beginning to increase My Word (Living Water), into their spirits. Now is the end time. A time for My people to have more of My Word, so they can help others, themselves,build My kingdom and worship Me.

The Scene: 1 )Rainwater: representing Living Water,the Word. 2) The Cistern: Represents the bodies of God’s true believers, that believe in His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit then said,” See the fill pipe is too small, make it larger, by reading and studying My Word more,daily. Likewise the discharge pipe needs to be larger, so as to be able to speak My Word with greater power and authority, to those who are willing to listen, learn, and want to know the truth.

Ephesians 5:26-27(NAS) “that he might sanctify her, having cleansed by the washing of water with the Word. that he might present to Himself the Church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless.

Holy God wants His people to step up, reach out, to those willing to listen, planting His Word into the unbelievers, unsaved, hearts. We have been given life so that we may give Holy God praise and increase His kingdom.
