Romans 13:11-12 ” And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”

The Scene:1) The clock: Time is slipping away, there is only a short time left. 2) The upper-room type open window: represents window of opportunity for Christians (the Church) to do the Lord’s work. 3) the Light, Jesus. 4) Dawn: is near, which represents Jesus’ second coming to this earth.

The harvest is ready/great; committed workers are needed to bring them in (sinners) to repentance & acceptance.

Mark 13: 35-37″ Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house (Jesus) will come back–whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If He comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch!”

Hebrews 13:8 ” Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

The Scene: An F-86D Saber jet flying upward, doing a victory roll, through the white clouds and bright blue sky.

The Holy Spirit said, ” The F-86D was a great Korean War era fighter plane, for it’s time! The F-86 had a very powerful engine, most of the time. It was dependable most of the time! I, however, am forever dependable. I am your power plant (engine). Depend on Me.

1 Corinthians 1:24  “but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”

“Hebrews 13:5b ” …never will I leave you: never will I forsake you.”

THE GOD OF GLORY THUNDERS

Psalm 29:3-4 ” The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.”

The scene: The waterfall thunders and exhibits power. The living Word of our God thunders throughout the world.  If only all of mankind would listen!  This waterfall is unstoppable, as is God’s Word, Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 43:2-3 ” and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice was like the roar of rushing waters, and the land was radiant with his glory.”

I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

JOHN 6:51 “I am the living bread that comes down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

The Scene: 1) The mosaic picture: pieces cut from rock. 2) The Hand: Jesus’ humanness shown by the flesh tone hand, and that he is fully God, as he offers eternal life. 3) The bread:  The body of Christ. White represents purity, is unleavened . Unleavened bread is without yeast. Yeast represents sin. 4) The Tray:  Gold, representing royalty. from which Jesus offers believers His body. 5) The Frame: earth tones. For God sent His only Son to earth, in human form, to be with us and to save us.

John 6:35  “Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”  We must take Jesus Christ into our lives by faith in order to have eternal life; no one comes to the Father, without Him.

Hebrews 13:8  “ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

The Scene: Noah’s ark (Read Genesis Chapter 6-the flood):  Noah built the ark as God commanded him. The waters rose & the rain fell as the ark began to float. Noah believed God, so he (Noah) built the ark. The flood waters lasted 150 days. Then God remembered Noah and sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded. Then God made a covenant with Noah. (See Genesis Chapter 9 for full account). God blessed Noah & his sons. Noah lived 950 years.

As long as God knows that his people are faithful (have good hearts) He will continue to bless them, as He has in the past, through their finances, family, household,  business, etc.  Father God is always faithful and is His only Son, who is like Him, is faithful, also.

REMAIN IN ME

John 15:1-5 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.”

The process of pruning seems hash and painful. However, once the plants recover they become stronger, more productive and healthy. God gives us a promise.

John 15:7 ” If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you.”

This promise holds true when we do our part, asking and believing, with a right heart.

John 15:16 ” You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit–fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.” (The mighty name of Jesus.)

FOGGY MORNING

2 Corinthians 5:7 ” We live by faith not by sight.”

Living without the Holy Spirit is like living in a fog.- nothing is clear. The light is dispersed- driving and flying can be dangerous.  With the Holy Spirit, our days can be clear and sunny and bright.

John 8:12 ” When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit, that He will go before us in every situation.

Ephesians 5:14 ” For it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Through our time with Jesus many things can be made to be seen clearly; we able to make better plans, decisions, etc. The sun disperses the fog when we let the light of the Son into our lives; the light disperses the darkness.

Ephesians 3:17b-18 ” And pray that you being rooted & established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide &  long & high & deep is the love of Christ,”

The Scene: The cross of Jesus touches everything and everywhere for good. Without Jesus’ love there would not be anything.

Ephesians 3:19 ” And to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

For those who have faith in Jesus, our Lord, Christ has chosen to live, dwell within us, in our innermost being. He lives in our hearts and minds.

1 John 3:24 “Those who obey his (Jesus) commands live in him, and he in them.  And this is how we know that he lives in us:  we know it by the Spirit he gave us.”

BE YE SALT LIGHT

BE YE SALT AND LIGHT

BE YE SALT & LIGHT

Matthew 5:13 ” You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled on by men.”

Salt is a preservative and a flavoring, found all over the earth, for man & animals to use. All living things need salt. Without salt nothing lives.

The scene: The Lamp: Salt and light represent God’s people, living among non-believers.

Matthew 5:14 ” You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Light eliminates darkness so people can see clearly. Believers show non-believers the way to live for Jesus and the way from sin (darkness). God’s people can shine and represent the Light (Jesus) to the World.

Matthew 5:16 ” Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on a stand, it gives light to everyone in the house. In this same way, let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds (works, KJV) and praise your Father in heaven.”

Without God’s people in this world there is darkness, chaos & anarchy, a depraved generation.

GOD LOVES YOU

Jesus came for you.

John 3:16 ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

The Scene: God loves you is shown being carved from quarried limestone. Limestone is very hard, durable and weathers well (long lasting).

Isaiah 51:1: ” Listen to me you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord; Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn.”

God’s love is rock solid and Jesus is the Rock of our salvation.

ROMANS 5:8 ” But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
