SWEETER THAN HONEY

SWEETER THAN HONEY.jpg

                                                           SWEETER THAN HONEY

Psalm 19:9-10 “ The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.”

The Scene: A jar of honey with a picture (label) of a flower and a bee extracting the nectar from the flower, symbolic of God’s Word.

Proverbs 24:13-14 “Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste. Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”

God’s Word taken in is sweet to the soul. We gain spiritual strength from His Word. We can gain Spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Without God’s Word we have none of the above. Jesus is the Word. When Christians read the Bible we are taking Jesus inside us, growing in maturity.

HEED THE CALL

HEED THE CALL.jpg

Romans 11:29 “For God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.”

The Scene: A Holy Spirit-authored song given to the writer in a dream.

“Heed the call. Heed the call.

Jesus Christ has come!

Jesus, the Messiah has come!

He gave His all for me.

Heed the call. Heed the call.

Jesus heard the Father’s call.

Go my Son and heal them all.

Save my people. Heed the call.

Go my Son. Stop the fall.

Break down the curtain wall,

that they, my flock may heed the call.”

Heed the call. Heed the call.

Jesus Christ has come!

Heed: To mind; to regard with care; to take notice of; to attend to; to observe.(Dictionary of English Language: Noah Webster 1828)

Proverbs 16:20 “Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord.”

Psalm 107:43 “ Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the Lord.”

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS.jpg

                                       COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Psalm128:1-2 “Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways.”

The Scene: a pastoral scene with the many numbers “1” representing blessings, like in the song, “Count Your Many Blessings, count them one by one.” * Also see the 3 doves overlooking the scene, symbolic of the Holy Trinity.

Philippians 4:19 “And my God will meet your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Christians.”

Even on our darkest days we can count our many blessings.

  • “Count your many blessings, name them one by one.

  • Count your many blessings, see what God has done.

  • Count your many blessings, name them one by one.

  • And it will surprise you, what the Lord hath done.”

NOT OF THIS WORLD

NOT OF THIS WORLD.jpg

                                                                      NOT OF THIS WORLD

John 17:14 “I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.”

The Scene: Earth with the black cancellation symbol around it

This world, as we know it,will one day be gone. We have God’s Word on it.

John 15:19 “ As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”

Revelation 21:1 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.”

The bride of Christ will occupy their new home, the New Jerusalem—the City of God.

Those who have believed God’s Word and have chosen His way proclaim that “Jesus is Lord.” They have gained salvation, and are sanctified by the great I AM, prepared to leave this world behind.

Pray for those whom you know who have not yet made this choice.

TREE OF LIFE II

TREE OF LIFE.jpg

                                                                               TREE OF LIFE II

Genesis 2:9 “And the Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground–trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the Tree of Life and the Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.”

The Scene: Jesus, as the Tree of Life, in the spiritual sense, represented by the cross of Christ; He is the vine and His children are the branches.* That is , those who believe in Him, as the Christ (The Anointed One). He was in the garden of Eden, as the Tree of Life before the first man, Adam, was created.

John 15:1 “I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch that does bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be more fruitful.”

Without the cross of Jesus, His people would not be able to spring forth( grow in Him and witness) as Christians. It is only by the cross and Jesus’ resurrection that give overcomers eternal life. The Tree of Life sustains us.

Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the paradise  of God.”

*Note: See the branches; Each branch and it’s leaves coming from the cross is made up of 3 leaves representing the Trinity(Father, Son, Holy Spirit) in our lives. Also note the Bible number 3 stands, not only for the Trinity, but also perfection, resurrection, divine witness, solid, complete and real.

LIGHT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

LIGHT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.jpg

                                                   LIGHT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Proverbs 13:9 “ The light of righteousness shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.”

The Scene: The brightness of the sun and moon together– Isaiah 60:20-21 “Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more. The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Then will all your people be righteous* and they will posses the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor.”

  • *Definition: righteousness as applies to servants of God who live according to divine law, practicing holiness, but are not yet perfected.

Psalm 112:4 “ Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.”

DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD

DO IT TO THE GLORY OFGOD.jpg

DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD

1 Corinthians 10:31 “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

The Scene: Knitting needles at work.

“In God’s kingdom everything is important to Him,” the Holy Spirit said.

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Proverbs 10:4 “Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.”

The Word tells us we are capable of accomplishing much with God’s help.

Philippians 4:13 “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

GOD’S PLAN

GOD'S PLAN.jpg

                                                          GOD’S PLAN

Proverbs 1-4 (read): God’s wisdom

The Scene: The whole armor of God; 1)helmet of salvation 2) sword of the Word 3) breastplate of righteousness 4) shield of the Spirit 5) belt of truth 6) shoes –being ready with the gospel of peace.

Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

The purpose of God’s armor, to be worn by the Christian soldier, is for his/her own divine protection from the evil one.

Proverbs Chapters 1 and 2 describe God’s clothing of divine protection—Godly wisdom, discernment, knowledge and understanding. Similar to the whole armor of God, following God’s plan, to gain Godly wisdom, understanding, knowledge and discernment, fear of the Lord and righteousness. This can bring us divine protection, in our physical, earthly lives and spiritual protection from the evil one.

BEWARE

BEWARE.jpg                                                                    BEWARE

Genesis 3:1 “ Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?’ “

The Scene: The symbolic Satan– a deadly serpent, that speaks lies, green so as to blend, very subtle.

Genesis 3: 3-4 “but God did say, ‘You must not eat from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’ “You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

As the time for the return of the Lord draws near, Satan has become more active among the saints of God and unbelievers. Christians have a duty to be vigilant so as not to be deceived by the evil one, who can change his appearance to appear as an angel of light.

1 Peter5:8 “Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.”

Therefore, “His saints are to call upon His name, Jesus, in time of trouble; He will save His own from the evil one,” the Holy Spirit said.

COME DINE WITH ME

COME DINE WITH ME.jpg

                                                         COME DINE WITH ME

John 6:51, 54, 56 “I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.”

The Scene: Holy Communion cup/chalice and host/wafer plate– ”Come dine with Me”, said the Lord of Hosts. The wafer  symbolizes Christ’s body, given for sinners who believe in Him. The wine represents His spilled blood given for the salvation of sinners, who believe and trust in Him. Jesus tells us in His Word that when Christians take Holy Communion, He is our Host, we are invited guests.  Jesus longs to dine with His bride.

The bride of Christ, true believers in the Savior of the world, hunger and thirst for Jesus’ return and want to spend eternity in heaven with Him. When Jesus returns for His bride they will will one with Him, and will live with Him in heaven forever

John 6:57 “Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.”
