SING FOR JOY (The rock of my salvation)

Psalm 98:8 ” Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness.”

The earth is His and all therein. Sing for joy all ye lands!

Isaiah 55:12 ” You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills will burst forth into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.”

We, too, shall one day sing a new song before our maker and Lord, King of all.

Psalm 149: 1 “Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.”

LANDMARK

Deuteronomy 27:17 ” Cursed is the man who moves his neighbor’s boundary stone.  Then all the people shall say, Amen!”

The post rock has been used on the U.S.A. plains  for many years, to be set as property boundaries.  (The state of Kansas was one such area for the farmers and ranchers to use these fence stones.) Those who corrupt the spiritually young are guilty of moving God’s landmarks away from righteousness and toward evil.

Proverbs 23:10-11“Do not move an ancient boundary or stone or encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong; he will take up their case against you.”

Those who do evil will be dealt with severely by God.  Jesus is coming.

ENDUED WITH POWER

ENDUED WITH POWER

Psalm 89:13  “Your arm is endued with power. Your hand is strong, your right hand is exalted.”

“We will endure forever, for He is with us, His mighty right hand will guide and protect us forever,” says the Holy Spirit.   We have God’s power through His great and precious promises.

E-N-D-U-E-D  To be endowed with… (power); to put on, to clothe. (Merriam-Webster)  We, too, have been endued with God’s power through His Holy Spirit to do God’s works and to establish His kingdom here on earth.

Psalm 118:14 ” The Lord is my strength and my song. He has become my salvation.”

Proverbs 3:5 ” Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your way straight.”

In this scene, The skydiver is depending on the hands of someone who packed his chute correctly (usually his own hands).  God provides the winged parachute to guide us when we fall (fail). God will make it right, if we try to do the right things, asking for His help.  We can put our complete trust in God!

Isaiah 12:2 ” Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.”

Psalm 11:1 ” In the Lord I have refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain?”

The strong right arm looms like a mountain, in our time of need. We flee to His safety, for He has proven faithful to our plight.

Isaiah 41:10 ” So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you: I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Psalm 136:12 ” with a mighty hand and outstretched arm; His love endures forever.”

TROUBLED TIMES

John 16:33” I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this  world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are called to stay on the” straight and narrow road” However, in this world believers find the way cluttered with debris (sin); the highway of life can be dangerous and the flyover is the way to destruction. Our heavenly Father however, is good and promises “to never leave us or forsake us.”

Joshua 1:5 ” No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Jesus tells believers over and over, He is our divine helper in times of need.

Isaiah 30:21 “ Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, This is the way, walk in it.”

“LIKE A BEACON ON A HILL”

Mt. 5:14 ,16 ” You are the light of the world.” …let you light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.”

We are made in God’s image. Therefore we are called to be like Him, as sons and daughters. “We must always remember who we are in Him….always looking ahead, never behind.” said the Holy Spirit.

Ep. 5:8 ” For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”

TEST ME

TEST ME

Mal. 3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room for it.”

To the Church, the Lord says, “Test Me.” God challenges His people to tithe and see what happens. God tells us “seek, ask ,knock.” Some action on our part is required. When we listen to what He says and do what He says, the floodgates(doors ) of Heaven will open and pour out His blessings upon us, to overflowing……

Rev. 3:8  “I know your deeds. See, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut.  I know that you  have little strength, yet you have kept My Word, and have not denied My name.

MORE OF JESUS

“More of Jesus, Less of me.”

2 Cor. 5:14-15 “For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again.”

If God’s people are to truly represent God’s love to others, be “Ambassadors for Christ”,2 Cor. 5:20, we must do as Paul said.

Helen H. Lemmel wrote” Turn your eyes upon Jesus“, (a song) “Look full in His wonderful face and the things of earth grow strangely dim, in the light of His Glory and Grace.”

“WITHOUT GOD”

Psalm 103:14 ” For He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.”

Mankind on his own is incompetent, without God. He is weak, susceptible to the troubles of the world and then fades away.

We are made as “jars of clay” by the Master. Whether we live forever depends on listening to God’s Word and doing what He says.

Matthew 5:16 ” Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven
