GOD’S ELECT

Mark 13:27  “And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.”

The Scene: Fish gliding along looking as if lost, wandering aimlessly.

“I have scattered my people, my remnant, like fish of the sea. They go to and fro, waiting for my return; many people have tired of waiting and have lost their way, spiritually speaking,” quickened the Holy Spirit.

1 Peter 1:1-2 “To God’s elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,* who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours abundantly.”

2 Peter 1:10-11  “Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure.  For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

5-13 CHOSEN

FULLNESS OF TIME

Ephesians 1:9-10 ” And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, v.10 to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment–to bring all things in heaven and earth together under one head, even Christ.”

The Scene: A clock showing 11:00 PM –symbolic of being close to midnight; the end of the current day which is intended to be understood that, “Time is short; the end of time is near, the fullness of time.”

“Take heed of the time,” the Holy Spirit said. “Now is he time to believe in the one true God and His only Son Jesus the Christ of Nazareth, Savior of the world.”

Hebrews 3:12-13 “See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”

Hebrews 4:1 “Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.”

No one knows the final day or time, only the Father knows. Therefore those who have the faith required will enter God’s rest– unbelievers will not enter the Father’s rest,(eternal life in heaven).

Hebrews 4: 6-11 “It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: ‘Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.’ For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.”

MY RIGHTEOUS REMNANT

Matthew 5:14-16 ” You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

The Scene: Many hills seen in the night, with many pinpoints of light shining out into the darkness of this world.

Romans 13:12 “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the whole armor of light.”

Some concerned Christians have voiced their concerns over a lack of true believers– those born-again, filled with the Holy Spirit, followers of the Word.  But the Holy Spirit reminds us that there is a remnant in the world that will be spared the coming wrath of God.

Micah 7:18 “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.

2 Peter 1:19 “And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.”

5-10 RIGHTEOUS REMNANT

RISE TO THE TOP

The Scene: A mountain trail rising to the top, representing our Christian walk of faith leading to the “mountain top experience” a life of living for our Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

The clouds and the three birds; symbols of God’s presence and the Holy Trinity watching over us, and listening to our daily prayers, as we walk the Christian walk.

Sign no. 1 & 2:   James 1:2-3 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.”

Sign 3: We grow in Christian maturity as we (daily) walk victoriously through the trials and tests put before us. James 1:4 “Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Sign 4: Purity Bend:  Psalm 24:3-4  “Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.”

Sign 5: Trust Curve:  Isaiah 25:9 “In that day they will say, ‘Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.’ ”

Sign 6a: Psalm 37:29 ” The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.”  Sign 6b: Romans 4:13 “It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.”

Christians who believe as Abraham did are the offspring of Abraham; therefore, they, too, can enjoy the promise of God to Abraham.  Abraham believed that God could deliver the promise,  “This is ‘why it was credited to him as righteousness.’ ” Romans 4:22

Romans 4:23 “The words ‘it was credited to him’ were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness–for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.”

5-8 RIGHTEOUS LIVING

OUR ETERNAL INHERITANCE

1Peter 1:3-4 ” Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade–kept in heaven for you.”

The Scene: A bank vault with safety deposit boxes located in our heavenly bank–waiting to be opened at the proper time, upon our arrival in heaven, our eternal kingdom.

The boxes contain our inheritance documentation, that states what is to be included for us, things such as the promise of salvation and rewards for good works post-salvation. Also our new name* written on a white stone and addressed to each person who has gained eternal life in heaven through faith in God the Father and His Son Jesus the Christ our Savior.

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Ephesians 1: 13-14 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession–to the praise of his glory.”

• Revelation 2:17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.  To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna.  I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.”

Only Jesus has the key to the lock box, and  He Himself is the key! Revelation 3:7 say, “These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”

5-9 INHERITANCE

HE WATCHES OVER US

Psalm 121:3-4,8  “He will not let your foot slip–he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

The Scene: The light from the lighthouse shining brightly: symbolic of the Word, our Lord Jesus Christ, watching over His bride-to-be, the Church. The lighthouse beacon is going round and round sending its light out into a dark world.

“He, the Lord, watches over His people and they are to watch for Him, His return. Do not grow weary,” said the Holy Spirit.

Micah 7:7 “But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.”

Psalm 66:7 ” He rules forever by his power, his eyes watch the nations– let not the rebellious rise up against him.”

Fear not! Our God will deal with the rogue nations of the world. He is supreme and He rules over all the earth.

5-6 God Watches

ABUNDANCE

Numbers 13:23 ” When they reached the valley of Eshcol, they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them, along with some pomegranates and figs.”

The Scene: A curved pole bending under the weight of the large bunches of grapes, pomegranates, and figs.

God will reward those who seek Him with a whole heart toward obedience to His Word.

Hebrews 11:6 ” And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

The Lord said, “Trust in Me.” The Lord rewarded Joshua and Caleb and the Israelite men under 20 years of age. They entered the promised land of milk and honey.  Joshua and Caleb acted on their faith in God’s promise and led young Israel into the land of their inheritance.

We, too, are rewarded when we listen to God through His Holy Spirit’s voice inside us and His Word; and we do what He says, acting in faith. We trust in Him to  provide, then God provides the action required to meet our needs.

5-7  Provision

EVERY DAY A GIFT FROM GOD

Psalm 118:24 ” This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

The Scene: Gift wrapped packages- 7 of them, each one representing a day of the week.

Every day is a gift from God.  His Son offered everyone the gift of eternal life; days in heaven, for eternity.

Romans 6:23 ” For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Jesus Christ came, lived, died on a cross of shame and rose again from the dead on the third day for us that we might enjoy our days eternally, with Him.  He defeated death so we could live.

2 Corinthians 9:15 “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!”

FEAR NOT

Luke 1: 78-79 ” Because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

The Scene: Sunrise–symbol of the Son shining in the hearts of His people, and the new era coming.

2 Peter 1:19 “And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.”

1 Peter 2:9 ” But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

” I hold my people in the palm of my hand. The end of the era of darkness is near and a new era of light is at hand. Fear not!”, said the Holy Spirit.

GOD OUR STRONG DEFENSE

Ephesians 6:16 ” In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

The Scene: A spiritual representation of the fiery dart of Satan– God’s– and our–enemy.  The enemy’s arrow has arched overhead toward its target. However, another speeding arrow, sent by the Lord, intercepts Satan’s arrow, hitting full force and snapping the enemy’s arrow in two. Satan’s arrow then falls harmlessly to the ground.

Ephesians 6:13-14 “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”

Psalm 46:1 ” God is our refuge and our strength, an ever- present help in trouble.”

Our God watches over us, awaiting our call for help. Many times He forewarns us through His Holy Spirit, to take evasive action to avoid Satan’s snares/traps, whose goal is to destroy us eternally.

Psalm 121: 5 ” The Lord watches over you– the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from harm– he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
