KING OF KINGS

Job 4:18 “He takes off the shackles put on by kings and ties loincloth around their waist.”

The Scene: Broken shackles–the captives have been set free from sin and death.

Revelation 17:14 ” They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings– and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Romans 6:17-18 ” But thanks be to God that, though you were slaves to sin, you whole-heartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted . You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.”

Jesus paid a debt he did not owe, that all mankind could choose to be set free. And mankind cannot repay Jesus for the sacrifice He paid on the cross.

John 8:32 “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Hebrews 9:15 “For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance–now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.”

ETERNAL FIRE

Deuteronomy 4:24 “For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.”

The Scene: A vision while chopping wood; a fire, flames leaping high into the air, a fire with no observable fuel source.

The flame is a reminder to everyone, especially to His people, to not drift or be drawn away from Him, by thoughts and actions of this world.

Hebrew 12:28 ” Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”

Our God is complete unto Himself. He needs nothing to sustain Himself.  If We are in Him and He in us, we are complete.

1 John 2:5 ” But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him. Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.”

The Point: In these troubled times Satan and his helpers will try to pry away God’s people, mostly through fear and greed. We are to cling to God no matter what may come or go in this world.

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

STRANGERS IN THIS WORLD

1 Peter 1:17-19 “Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s works impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”

The Scene: A carpet bag designed for light travel made from carpet material. An indication that one carrying such a bag was not of the local area, but from another place.

Strangers in this world are those who choose to follow Jesus the Christ.

John 15:19 ” If you belonged to the world it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of this world. That is why the world hates you.”

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

1 John 2:15, 17 ” Do not love the world or anything in the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”

I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT

Acts 2:17 ” ‘In the last days,’ God Says,’ I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. ‘ ”

The Scene: Different languages that say, God love you and love God, a representation of what it was like on the day of Pentecost. (Translations obtained from several sources on the internet, including Irish, Scots Gaelic, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Japanese, Hebrew and Aramaic.)

Acts 2:1-4 “When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed like tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

Acts 2:15-16 ” ‘ These men are not drunk as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken of by the prophet Joel.’ ”  See Joel 2:29

The gift of the Holy Spirit is given to all mankind who believe in Jesus, the Christ, savior, and want the gift of the holy spirit and ask for it.

LIFE’S JOURNEY

Isaiah 35:8-9 “And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that way; wicked fools will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor will any ferocious beasts get up on it; they will not be found there.  But only the redeemed will walk there,”

The Scene: a bright yellow butterfly meandering along on a casual route.

“My people travel a journey through life just like my creatures.  Those filled with My Spirit follow the path I have laid out for them.”

Proverbs 15:19 ” The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway.”

Proverbs 16:17 ” The highway of the upright avoids evil; he who guards his way guards his life.”

Psalm 1:1-3 ” Blessed is the man who does not walk in the way of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. OPEN THE WINDOWS (FLOODGATES)  OF HEAVEN

Malachi 3:10 ” Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my in my house.  ‘Test me in this,’says the Lord Almighty,  ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates or windows (KJV) of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’ ”

The Scene: Three open windows, symbolic of opening the windows of heaven by the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit’s Word says, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”  Hosea 4:6   Most people do not understand through their lack of trust the principles set down by God, through which He blesses His people. When will they learn?

Luke 6:38  “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured to you.”

Proverbs 3:9-10  “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing and your vats will brim over with new wine.”

ROOTED IN GOD’S LOVE (AGAPAO)

John 15:9-11 ” As the Father has loved me, so have I love you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this : Love each other as I have loved you.”

John Chapter 15  is the love chapter where love is mentioned 9 times, beginning with verse 9.  The Bible number 9= fullness, gifts and fruit of the Spirit, end, conclusion, judgment..

God’s children have the fullness of God’s love for us, in us, to share with others who are seeking God’s love.

Hebrews 6:10-11 “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show the same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.”

We are anchored in God’s love like the root system of a large oak tree. That root system can represent God’s Word, the Holy Scriptures which are truth God cannot lie). He says this in His Word. His Word tells us, “God is love”(1 John 4:8)

IN TIME OF NEED

Isaiah 41:10 ” So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

The Scene: The Lord’s right hand extended, a sign that He is always available for His children, true believers in Him, Father God, Jesus His Son  and followers of His Word. Habakkuk 3:4 ” His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand,  where his power was hidden.”

Hebrews 13:6 “So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?'”

2 Timothy 4:18 “The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

As God’s children, we can extend our hand to Him, asking whatever we think we need. He is there for us anytime of day or night, 24/7/365.

SABBATH REST

Hebrews 4:9-11 “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.”

The Scene:  pillows intended as a reminder to take the time to enter God’s rest, from physical and mental stress, which includes spiritual unrest (the battle is the Lord’s).

Genesis 2:2-3 “By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.”

With this Scripture the pattern is set for all God’s people to follow.

Exodus 35:2  “For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death. Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”

Father God commanded even the land that the people worked, planting and harvesting, must rest:  Leviticus 25: 3-5 ” For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. But in the seventh year the land is to have a sabbath of rest, a sabbath to the  Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. Do not reap what grows by itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest.”

God created man in His own image, which includes both labor and resting. We should all listen to God’s holy wisdom.
