WORLDLY WISDOM

1 Corinthians 1:20  Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

The Scene:  Clinging to worldly wisdom is like a worldly (unspiritual in the things of God) man who thinks he carries a backpack filled with good things like wisdom, but instead he carries a load of rocks, representing worldly wisdom.  Worldly wisdom just loads him down as he goes about his business in this world, represented by the scenery around him. He believes all is well……

1 Corinthians 1:25  For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

Hosea 14:9  Who is wise? He will realize these things. Who is discerning? He will understand them. The ways of the Lord are right, the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

Psalm 19:7   The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.  The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Wisdom can be defined as the right use of knowledge. The only true knowledge we have is from God and His Word. Seek wisdom  from God.
