Genesis 1: 27-28 God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

From the beginning God intended that man was to be the priest of the family, the woman was to bear children, be devoted/love, and to raise them in a godly way. The father was intended to be the provider, provide discipline to the children and be the overseer of the family.

The Scene: An ancient style house: 1)The roof represents the father of the house providing covering for his family. 2) columns represent the mother who can support the family.

Psalm 34:11 Come my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this right. “Honor your father and mother”–which is the first commandment with a promise–“that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

NOTE: The five columns representing the “five fold ministry” to be taught to children, so that they understand the work of the ministry and edify the body of Christ so that they: 1)grow up spiritually to maturity, 2)have unity in the faith, 3) attain spiritual perfection. The five fold ministry includes: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. ( for more detail READ Ephesians 4:11-13)

Titus 2:1-3 You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and endurance. Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
