                                                                      TRUST IN GOD

Matthew 6:25, 30-33 “Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, the body more important than clothes?  v.30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

“My people are in fear too much,” said the Lord.

The Scene: Stacks of money, representing the wealth and treasure of the world system.

The world tells God’s people, believers in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, “Put your trust in many things, such as, gold, real estate, bonds, cash in the bank, worldly wisdom, ” which then brings on worry about how to hold on to worldly possessions, or that they do not have enough. The truth is they fail to recognize and thank the Giver.

NOTE: Judges 21 Tells the story of the Israelites, how they lost over 40,000 men in two battles, yet they won their third battle, because they called on God  and put their trust in Him. They defeated their enemies, the Benjamites (25,000 killed)  Before the last battle, the Israelites stopped and prayed, fasted, and held a fellowship offering, then  gave God praise for what He was about to do for them.
