DAWN

Luke 1:78 “Because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

The Scene: Sunrise, dawn, shining through the barren trees– symbolic of the spiritual awakening of people to the presence of God and His Son, Jesus, into their/our lives.

Romans 13:12 “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”

2 Peter 1:19 “And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.”

When the dawn of the Lord Jesus Christ comes into peoples’ hearts and minds their attitudes and actions change from that of darkness to light. They begin to emulate Jesus, the light of the world. Nothing can change the heart of man but the presence of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Isaiah 60:1-2 ” Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.”
