HONOR HIM
1 Chronicles 29:10- 11 ” David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, ‘Praise be to you, O Lord, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.’ ”
The Scene: Accolades shown honoring Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
NAMES & TITLES OF JESUS
- JESUS: His name; The Lord saves, Savior, Yeshua
- LORD: His position; Ruler of all, Adonai
- CHRIST: His anointing; the Anointed One, Messiah
- EMMANUEL: God with us; God Almighty, El Shaddai
Following the example of King David and the Apostle Paul, we begin our prayers with accolades of honor for our Lord and Savior and end our prayers following the example in the Lord’s Prayer (Ref. Matthew, Chapter 6); “for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever, Amen.”
Revelation 4:10 “The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: ‘You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.’ ”
