John 3:8 “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

The Scene: Leaves of all kinds being blown by the unseen wind, on a late Autumn day. The leaves blew along the ground giving evidence of the presence and power of the wind; calling attention to the Holy Sprit, one part of the Holy Trinity that makes up our Triune God:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit, though unseen, has His effects through which we can witness His presence, proving that He exists.

Acts 2:2-4 ” Suddenly a sound like a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.  All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

The Holy Spirit, like a mighty wind blowing the leaves, teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ, sending it throughout the world.

Psalm 104:3b-4 “He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind. He makes winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants.”

The Holy Spirit speaks to God’s chosen through the inner soul and spirit, at times sounding like a quiet breeze blowing through the trees. He lives inside those who are born-again, guiding and helping them through their lives and witness.
