OUR HEALER

OUR HEALER

OUR HEALER (Jehovah Raphah*)

Matthew 9:22 “Jesus turned and saw her. ‘Take heart, daughter,’ he said, ‘Your faith has healed you.’ And the woman was healed from that moment.”

The Scene: A nurse’s cap of old–representing olden signs of healers–those who helped us get well, along with doctors, hospitals.  At times, God will heal us supernaturally; at other times He will use the medical/counseling field to accomplish our healing. However we’re healed, we’re healed by God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  We praise the Trinity for our healing.  We look to God for our healing:  spirit, soul and body.

Matthew 9:29a “Then he touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith will it be done to you.’ ”

Isaiah 53:4-5  “Truly he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

*God has healed:  Unger’s Bible Dictionary, 1977 ed. p. 912.  We look to God for our healing:  physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
