2 Corinthians 5:20 “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
The Scene: A contrast: Two pictures within one; looked at as a closeup, the one picture could appear as a “desert” scene–but pull away and view the whole picture from a distance and see a “dessert”, a cupcake: two similar words with entirely different meanings and spellings.
The main point here is that Christians, those who are born-again, need to be working for God. The desert may appear to be beautiful but can be a very dangerous place. Some say they are Christians, but are really more like the desert. The unsaved person may be attracted to either kind, not knowing the difference between those are working for God and those who are working for themselves, instead. Let’s be “dessert” Christians, not the other kind.
Isaiah 6:8 ” Then I heard the voice of the Lord say, ‘Whom shall I send?‘ and who will go for us? And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me! ‘ “
We have to show those who are looking for the Messiah what Jesus Christ and His Father truly are, to help further the kingdom. To accomplish this assignment and to be effective, we must be God-like, filled with Holy Spirit’s wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment with Godly love for others.
2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
