Romans 8:13-14 ” For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

When we sin it’s as if we were stabbing ourselves in the heart with a dagger.

NOTE: Our sin causes hurt to our Lord Jesus Christ, also! As christians we are called to the life of Christ; followers of the true God, who said He is the way, truth and life. John 14:6“Jesus said, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ “

Romans 8: 10-12 “But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation–but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it.”

Ask daily for God’s Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you in all righteousness, as you try to live for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
