SAFETY NET

Jude 1:24-25 “To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy– to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”

The Scene: A large, strong nylon net–strong enough to hold yet flexible enough to not hurt someone from a tumble into the net.

We can be sure, as God’s children, that though we may stumble in our Christian walk, Father God will be right there for us, when we need Him most! He will see us through our temptations and our moral faults upon our repentance, when needed.

Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.”

Likewise, we are called, as followers of Jesus, to be like our Father’s net with our brothers and sisters in Christ: when they act in an unloving, unkind way toward us and others, we are able to catch them when they are hurting, by showing them Godly love, caring, forgiveness and prayer.

Psalm 66:8-9 “Praise our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard; he has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.”
