john 2:19-22 “Jesus answered them, ‘Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.’ The Jews replied, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?’ But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.”
The Scene: A compass that indicates True North. Magnetic North is defined by Random House Webster’s College Dictionary pub. 1991 as “differing in most places from true north.”
The Holy Spirit through God’s Word always points Christian believers toward God’s Truth. The difference between denominationalism and true Christianity as intended by God’s Word and the teachings of Jesus, our Savior, can be like the difference between Magnetic North and True North on a compass. Denominationalism in many cases has taken God’s Truth and bent it by adding man’s jealousy, philosophy, traditions, misunderstandings, and misinterpretations of God’s Word. The Holy Spirit quickens that these are the very reasons and root causes for the Jews and Gentiles killing Jesus. They had “missed the mark” through their iniquity.
Today we witness the breaking away of the apostate church from the One True Church. God’s Word, the Holy Scripture, warns His people to be aware of this occurrence and to study the Holy Bible with the Spirit of God to interpret. And the Spirit of God was the One who wrote the Scriptures through man so people would avoid succumbing to the lies promulgated by mankind.
2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”
