THE LOVE OF MONEY

THE LOVE OF MONEY

1 Timothy 6:10 ” For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”

The Scene: A house made of stacks of money; a representation of greed. Just as the “money house” was completed a strong wind came and blew all the dollars away.

Ecclesiastes 5:10 “Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.”

The real point is God loves a cheerful giver. And whoever is given more than enough, it is expected by God, that they share their wealth, excess assets, with the needy. That is what is called stewardship. Read the parable of the 10 minas, Luke 19:11-27 for complete understanding.

All God’s children are expected to be good stewards of what has been given them by their Father God. Those who give bountifully will receive bountifully from God . For He says, in His Word, ‘Test me in this.’ (Malachi 3:10) Those who choose to ignore God’s commands on tithes and offerings may be poor in this world and in the next.

Matthew 6:3-4 “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
