The Scene: The figure representing God’s righteous people, those whose names are written in the Book of Life. The figure has his drawn sword at attention, awaiting a command from the Commander-in-Chief, Jesus the Christ of Nazareth.

Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.”
“You will recognize my people because they stand out from the rest, like a light on a hill. Examples: the Apostles, Abel, Noah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Joshua, Moses, Abraham, Gideon, King David, the prophet Samuel, Saul (Paul) of Tarsus, Enoch, Elijah, and others in God’s Word. (See Hebrews Ch. 11).
We are to wait upon the Lord as these men did and gained their victories with God’s help.
Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
