THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN

THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN

Revelation 5:12 “In a loud voice they sang: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’ “

The Scene: A lamb without spot or wrinkle, hanging on a cross; representing the Lord Jesus Christ, who went to the cross, died, and was resurrected again on the third day, to take away the sin of the world. Jesus, God’s own Son, took on the form of a man, came to earth to be sacrificed for all mankind. He gave His all.

John 15:13-14 “Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.”

Galatians 1:4-5 “Who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

John 19:30 ” When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ With that he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”

Acts 26:23 “That the Christ would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would proclaim light to his own people and to the Gentiles.”

And after He arose from the dead and was seen by many people, there were still those who doubted that He had risen from the grave, the Messiah, Christ the Lord and the Son of God, and some still did not believe.

John 20:25-27-29 “So the other disciples told him, ‘We have seen the Lord!’ But he said to them, ‘Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand in his side, I will not believe it.’ Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’ Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’ “
