MORE THAN ENOUGH

MORE THAN ENOUGH

                                                            MORE THAN ENOUGH

Revelation 7:17 “For the lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water.”

The Scene: A gushing steam– the water gushes over the waterfall.  And the Lord Jesus said,”More than enough; living water for the soul, the spirit and the body.”

Psalm 34:9-10 “Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”

The Lord, through His Word tells His people (true believers in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.) I AM the Great Provider. I AM the God of no lack. His supply is inexhaustible.

John 4:10 “Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.'”

NOTE: As an added study and blessing read Ezekiel 47:1-12   which is a  type and shadow of Christ, the temple and the  living waters that flow out of the threshold of the temple in heaven.

SHINE

SHINE.jpg

                                                                             SHINE

Matthew 5:14-15 ” You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to every one in the house.”

The Scene: The sun brightly shining–a symbol of what God’s children, true believers in Him, must be like in a darkened world. We are to shine like the sun and stand out in a fallen world as God’s example of holy living.

1 Peter 2:9” But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

So we are to walk as light, as Jesus Christ our Lord  is light.

Proverbs 4:18 “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

Christians can and do make a difference in a darkened world. As this world continues to get darker, the world will look to the light for help and to bring mankind into repentance and salvation.

We have been commanded by our heavenly Commander-In-Chief to “Go  into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15

TRUST IN GOD

TRUST IN GOD.jpg

                                                                      TRUST IN GOD

Matthew 6:25, 30-33 “Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, the body more important than clothes?  v.30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

“My people are in fear too much,” said the Lord.

The Scene: Stacks of money, representing the wealth and treasure of the world system.

The world tells God’s people, believers in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, “Put your trust in many things, such as, gold, real estate, bonds, cash in the bank, worldly wisdom, ” which then brings on worry about how to hold on to worldly possessions, or that they do not have enough. The truth is they fail to recognize and thank the Giver.

NOTE: Judges 21 Tells the story of the Israelites, how they lost over 40,000 men in two battles, yet they won their third battle, because they called on God  and put their trust in Him. They defeated their enemies, the Benjamites (25,000 killed)  Before the last battle, the Israelites stopped and prayed, fasted, and held a fellowship offering, then  gave God praise for what He was about to do for them.

BREAK THE YOKE

BREAK THE YOKE.jpg

                                                                 BREAK THE YOKE

Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

The Scene: A broken yoke symbolizing freedom from the yoke of bondage (sin nature is represented by the black).

John 8:36” So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

The key to breaking the yoke of bondage is in worship of God the Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit’s presence in our own spirit man.

Romans 8:15-17 “For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.  And by him we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are God’s children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his suffering in order that we may share in his glory.”

Worship of the one true God brings us God’s anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage. The Scripture above tells us we are to bind the spirit of bondage and loose the Spirit of adoption, so we might be set free from sin and death.

SOAR WITH GOD

SOAR WITH GOD.jpg

                                                                 SOAR WITH GOD

Isaiah 40:31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like the eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.”

The Scene: A brightly colored kite shown soaring like an eagle under the power of the Holy Spirit.

The born again, Spirit filled person is held together, mind, body and spirit, like this kite. We have the Trinity:  the Father, Son and Holy Spirit so we, too, can soar spiritually like the eagle.

Operating in the righteousness of God requires eternal vigilance.

James 1:19-25 “My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone  who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it–he will be blessed in what he does.”

JESUS’ WORD

JESUS' WORD.jpg

                                                                           JESUS’ WORD

Luke 21:33 “Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away.”

The Scene: The things of this earth one day will all be gone, like these flowers in a vase.

Jesus however promises, through His Word, that He will be with His flock, forever.

Isaiah 40:7 “The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass.”

John 1:1,14 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.”

For unbelievers in Jesus the Christ, God’s Word will not pass away and they will suffer the consequences, loss of eternal life.

Isaiah 5:24 “Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel.”

True believers will, however, rule and reign with our Lord.

SO GREAT A CLOUD OF WITNESSES

SO GREAT A CLOUD OF WITNESSES.jpg

SO GREAT A CLOUD OF WITNESSES

Hebrews12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance (patience KJV), the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.” The witnesses, including many Old Testament faithful men and women who have completed the journey, are now in Heaven.  We too, can know that we will join them one day.”

THREE Cs

THREE Cs.jpg

                                                                THREE Cs

Psalm 119:164 “Seven times a day I will praise you for your righteous laws.”

The Scene: Three Cs held together like a chain that binds. Red C is anger; green C is envy or jealousy; yellow is doubt, fear, confusion. Black background is symbol of sin surrounding the three Cs.

” I detest the three Cs –criticism, condemning and complaining–it shows a lack of trust,” said the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 63:4 “I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.”

When doubt, confusion, fear bind us and bring out the three cs, we can spend our time praising God for what He has done and will do, lifting Him up in praise, restoring our confidence in our Creator and Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Colossians 3:15 “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.”

SING SONGS OF PRAISE

SING SONGS OF PRAISE.jpg

                                                          SING SONGS OF PRAISE

Isaiah 30:29  “And you will sing as on the night you celebrate a holy festival; your hearts will rejoice as when people go up with flutes to the mountain o f the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.”

The Scene: Music flowing from a flute–sing songs of praise to His Holy name, for we are complete in Him when we sing praises to His name.

Psalm 95:1-2 “Come let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”

Hymn 299: Sing praises to God who spoke through man in differing times and manner….for those who still lead today, to God be thanks and glory.  Amen (1940 Hymnal of the Protestant Episcopal Church in the USA)

Hebrews 13:15 “Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise–the fruit of our lips that confess his name”.

GIVE ME YOUR PRAISE

GIVE ME YOUR PRAISE.jpg

                                                                           GIVE ME YOUR PRAISE

Psalm 34:1-4 “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.”

The Scene: Open raised hands of praise to God. God tells us in His Word,”Fear not” for He is our God who will protect us from the evil one. Just like the Israelites did, we are to spend times praising Him in lieu of complaining; not worrying about tomorrows troubles.

James 4::14Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow.”
