NEW WINE

NEW WINE.jpgNEW WINE

Deuteronomy 11:14 “Then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil.”

The Scene: Three containers of wine, all different, representing the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The red bottle filled with red wine symbolizes the atoning blood of Jesus. The grapes on the table of sacrifice are emblematic of the body of Jesus sacrificed for all mankind and the grapes that were crushed in order to make wine. The blue bottle= the Father and the third bottle, the Holy Spirit.

“Come drink the new wine with Me!” says the Lord our God. He intends for us to understand that His words of the “new wine and oil” were symbolic of the blessings He pours upon His people, believers in His Word, and our heavenly Father’s desire to bless Israel with His love and grace.

1 Timothy 1:14 “The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.”

TOSSED BY THE WAVES

TOSSED BY THE WAVES.jpg

TOSSED BY THE WAVES

Ephesians 4:14 ” Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful schemes.”

The Scene: A rough sea scene; the waves rising and ebbing, back and forth.

In our life’s journey through this world we are tossed about by people and circumstances, like the waves of the sea.  However, as God’s people mature spiritually, they are no longer tossed about by the world, the flesh, Satan and their own bad choices.  They can find calmer “seas of life” through God’s wisdom, knowledge, discernment and understanding  which comes from studying His steadfast Word. Read Matthew 8:23-27.

Ephesians 4:15 “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.”

HIS ROBE

HIS ROBE.jpg

HIS ROBE

Isaiah 61:10 ” I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”

The Scene: A priestly white robe; a full length garment, long sleeves with a belt representing righteousness, righteous living leading to eternal salvation. The robe is symbolic of Jesus– a robe of royalty.

Psalm 132:16 ” I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints will ever sing for joy.”

God’s people will be clothed in robes of righteousness.

Revelation 7:9-10 “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ ”

UNITED IN HIM

UNITED IN HIM.jpg

UNITED IN HIM

1 Corinthians 6:17 “But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”

The Scene: Sheets of plywood, consisting of many layers of  wood, pressed together to form a strong bonded sheet. Three sheets are shown together to represent the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, joined as One. And burned into the top layer are the words, “United in Him! ”

And the body of Christ has the Trinity, the three, distinct persons (with their separate ministries) living within them, a strong bond.

Romans 6:5 “If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united* with him in his resurrection.

*united: fused, as welded together

Revelation 3:20  “Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.”

BLESSINGS FROM GIVING

BLESSINGS FROM GIVING.jpgBLESSINGS FROM GIVING

Proverbs 11;25 “A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”

The Scene: a blank bank draft, with the horn of plenty printed on it.

Proverbs 28:27 “He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.”

“My people are blessed by Me,” says the Lord. Jesus knows peoples’ hearts and he rewards accordingly.

Matthew 6:3-4 “But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

2 Corinthians 9:7 “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Proverbs 18:16 ” A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.”

Our God is generous  and he seeks to have His children be the same way.

DRAWN TO THE LIGHT

DRAWN TO THE LIGHTDRAWN TO THE LIGHT

John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’ ”

The Scene: a small, single light bulb shining in a darkened room, that has just enough foot candles/lumens to enable someone to see.

Have you ever noticed that when there is a light shining in a dark place your eye is drawn to that light? Jesus is the Creator of light. He is the light.

2 Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.’ ”

Those who have chosen to live for Jesus have His light shining in them. They are the light shining on a hill.  Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world.  A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Ephesians 5:8-11 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”

Light is a powerful medium; the source of light is even more powerful.

Isaiah 60:20 “Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.”

Psalm 112:4 ” Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.”

A DEMAND FOR A SIGN

DEMAND FOR A SIGN

THE DEMAND FOR A SIGN

Matthew 16:1-3 ” The Pharisees and Sadducees came to  Jesus asking him to show them a sign from heaven. He replied, ” When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather; for the sky is red’, and in the morning ,’Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’  You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.”

The Scene: 1) Jesus on the cross: Darkness- No hope, the world view.

2) The resurrection cross: Bright day- The sun is rising–hope, The Christian view.

3) The Tree in the middle, separating the two views: Representing the Tree of Life, looking somewhat like a cross. The Tree of Life has bright green leaves.  One view is of a lost, dark world and the other a view of hope of resurrection day at Jesus’ return and eternal life.

The Pharisees & Sadducees thought they had won the battle, with Jesus, by His crucificxion, a great day for the believers in Him.  He died for the sins of the world.

The empty cross represents the greatest victory for Christians. We know Jesus is alive and well. His resurrection guarantees us that those born again will rise to meet Him on that great day.

Matthew 28:5-7 ” The Angel said to the women,” Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said, Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples; he has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you.”

I AM COMING SOON

I AM COMING SOON.jpg

I AM COMING SOON

John 14:3-4 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.  You know the way to the place where I am going.”

The Scene: The dial tumbler to a safe– recently  Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, declared that the USA recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The Holy Spirit quickened, “Liken this event to the turning of the dial on a safe, to one of the required numbers in the series that will unlock the door to the safe.” The safe represents heaven (a safe place) where Jesus awaits for the last number to be dialed, before the door will open and He returns to earth for His people (the bride of Christ), that are awaiting His return.

Luke 21:27 “At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

Hebrews 10:35-37 “So do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a little while, He who is coming will come and will not delay.”

Revelation 3:11 ” I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”

Revelation 22:20 ” He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ ”

DAWN

DAWN.jpg

DAWN

Luke 1:78 “Because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

The Scene: Sunrise, dawn, shining through the barren trees– symbolic of the spiritual awakening of people to the presence of God and His Son, Jesus, into their/our lives.

Romans 13:12 “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”

2 Peter 1:19 “And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.”

When the dawn of the Lord Jesus Christ comes into peoples’ hearts and minds their attitudes and actions change from that of darkness to light. They begin to emulate Jesus, the light of the world. Nothing can change the heart of man but the presence of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Isaiah 60:1-2 ” Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.”

MAN’S TOOLS

MAN'S TOOLS.jpg

MAN’S TOOLS

Genesis 4:22 “Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain’s sister was Naamah.”

The Scene: Man-made tools of wood, iron, bronze, and stone.  God provided mankind with knowledge to make and use hand tools in positive ways. Men used those tools also in evil ways: to make weapons of war, idols, false gods, images, which angered Father God.  He also has provided mankind with spiritual tools.  “My  Spiritual tools come from My Word,” said the Holy Spirit.  If man would but read and heed My Word he would have the spiritual tools for life and carry them in the pouch of his heart.”

Matthew 24:35  “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”

2 Peter 1:3 “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who calls us by his own glory and goodness.”

Reading God’s Word daily provides direction and guidance for our lives.  Read the Word.
