POWER OF CORPORATE PRAYER

POWER OF CORPORATE PRAYER

Matthew 18:19 “Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.”

The Scene: The setting (beginning top left picture) is an elder of the church anointing the people with a vial of oil for their healing, Following the pictures down the page, left to right, is seen a pair of hands, showing a progression. The oil is increasing in amount and flowing out of the elder’s hands, representing the power of God growing in strength, through corporate prayer, as the elder and the people who are present pray to our Heavenly Father. The drop of oil representing living water (God’s Word) began to form and flow in a small finger stream as more and more people were anointed and their prayers were added to the previous peoples’ prayers. All along the path of the stream of living water, green growth appeared indicating the life (spiritual awakening) being created. The stream continued to grow into a river as the church members fell to their knees in prayer. As the last person was anointed with oil for healing, a strong flowing waterfall appeared, indicating the mighty power God has given to his people through corporate prayer (living water, hydropower of God) poured forth.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Psalm 23:3 “He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”

The Scene: A path going through a wooded area–representing the path of righteousness leading to being at peace.

Proverbs 4:18 “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

We are called and commanded by the Holy Spirit to take the narrow path that leads us to salvation and eternal rewards in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Psalm 119:35 “Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.”

Daniel 12:3 “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”

God’s people are called to stay on the narrow path, so that others may be attracted to them through the “Path of Righteousness”.

CHRIST THE LIGHT

CHRIST THE LIGHT

John 1:4-5 “In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.”

The Scene: One large candle on a hill, followed by many smaller candles: a symbolic view of Jesus, as Light of the World and the smaller lights are people who have chosen to follow him (born-again Christians).

John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’ “

For the born-again, Spirit-filled Christians, Jesus Christ is our example. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit who can mirror the Light of the World, Jesus. The world can see our lights shine and can be drawn to Him, the Creator of Light, the one and only Eternal Light.”

Matthew 4:16-17 “The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. From that time on Jesus began to preach, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.’ “

STOP–ASSESS, MEDITATE, SERVE

STOP–ASSESS, MEDITATE, SERVE

Psalm 4:4 “In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.”

The Scene: A large STOP sign.

Meditate on the will of the Father each day–as CHRISTIANS we are to follow Jesus’ example and do the will of the Father.

Psalm 1:2 “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.”

Joshua 24:15 “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

1 John 3:6 “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.”

“Jesus is Lord,” we say. As such, we must be obedient to His commands and will and stop sinning.

WONDERFULLY MADE

WONDERFULLY MADE

Isaiah 64:8 “Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

The Scene: A clay pot (hand made) representing each person God has made.

A word from the Lord: “Stop fretting, I have made you. My children have been molded by the Master’s hand. Do not let the enemy bring you down; you are mine.”

Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

2 Corinthians 4:6-7 “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that the all- surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

STAIRWAYS TO HEAVEN

STAIRWAYS TO HEAVEN

John 1:50-51 “Jesus said, ‘You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You shall see greater things than that.’ He then added, ‘I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.’ “

The Scene: Stairways to heaven: the steps rising from earth represent Jesus’ humanity; while the stairways reach the clouds, the top represents access to the throne of heaven.

Without a personal faith in Jesus the Christ of Nazareth, humankind has no way to get to the Father in heaven. Smoke is rising in front of the stairways–symbolic of prayers of the saints reaching heavenly realms.

Proverbs 15:8 “The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.”

Revelation 8:3-4 “Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand.”

ABOMINATIONS

ABOMINATIONS

Isaiah 66:3b-4 “They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations; so I also will choose harsh treatment for them and will bring upon them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke no one listened. They did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me.”

The Scene: A representation of the Badlands, South Dakota, USA which has a harsh looking environment (symbolic of sin in the world) as compared to the green trees and grasses in the surrounding areas, representing righteousness through Christ our Lord.

“The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,” the Holy Spirit spoke out.

Proverbs 15:9 “The Lord detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness.”

Psalm 34:15 “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.”

Romans 14:17-18 “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.”

CONTRASTS II

CONTRASTS II

Romans 13:12 “The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”

The Scene: Contrasts represented by, scarlet (sin) and white (righteousness).

Where righteousness resides the darkness cannot prevail.

Genesis 1:4 “God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.” (A type and shadow)

Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”

Isaiah 1:18 ” ‘Come now, let us reason together.’ says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.’ “

Matthew 6:22-23 ” The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, you whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness’s, how great is that darkness!”

Spiritual blindness leaves a person exposed to the enemy, Satan. We are called to stay in the light. Read God”s Word daily. Call on the Holy Spirit to guide you in all righteousness.

PRESENCE OF THE LORD

PRESENCE OF THE LORD

Job 36:26-27 “How great is God–beyond our understanding! The number of his years is past finding out. He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams.”

The Scene: A passing thunderstorm (God’s power through storms, thunder, lightning, hail). The clouds are a covering of the Lord. The thunder represents His power. The lightning, symbolic of the justice of the Lord and hail, which can be a judgment.

Job 36:28-30 “The clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind. Who can understand how he spreads out the clouds, how he thunders from his pavilion? See how he scatters the lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea?”

Job 36:31-33 “This is the way he governs the nations and provides food in abundance. He fills his hands with lightning and commands it to strike its mark. His thunder announces the coming storm; even the cattle make known its approach.”

Exodus 9:25 “Throughout Egypt hail struck everything in the fields–both men and animals; it beat down everything growing in the fields and stripped every tree.”

Our God is a mighty God! He created all things for His use and pleasure.

TRUST NOT IN IDOLS

TRUST NOT IN IDOLS

Isaiah 44:9 “All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame.”

The Scene: A hand-made wooden idol–trust not in idols, whether wood, silver, gold, or money. “Trusting in false idols leads to ignorance, shame, and ruin,” said the Holy Spirit through His Word.

Isaiah 44:10-11 “Who shapes a god and casts an idol, which can profit him nothing? He and his kind will be put to shame; craftsmen are nothing but men. Let them all come together and take their stand; they will be brought down to terror and infamy.” Also read v v.12-21 for better understanding.

Man uses his resources for many things, including making idols–people who fashion or trust in idols have no understanding of what they do.

Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
