OUR CREATOR

OUR CREATOR

Psalm 74:16-17 “The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon. It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.”

The Scene: An ethereal, minimalist picture– a visualization created by King David of Judah, that Father God is the creator of all and that He is greater than His creation.

Psalm 72:8 “He will rule from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.”

You, O God, are the great mystery to all those who know you not! However, those who know You believe that You are everything and You created the earth and everything in it. See Psalm 24:1.

Isaiah 45:18 ” ‘ For this is what the Lord says–‘he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it empty, but formed it to be inhabited– he says, ‘I am the Lord, and there is no other. ‘ “

GENTLE BREEZE

GENTLE BREEZE

Psalm 1:1, 3“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”

The Scene: Tree leaves gently blowing in the breeze– representing those people who have found righteousness in the Lord God: those who follow God’s commands and who try to live Godly lives as directed by the Holy Spirit. He touches their lives like the gentle breeze touching the leaves. The many colors symbolize peoples of many nations (multi-nationality).

Jeremiah 17:7-8 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

As children of God we are called to be like Him in gentleness & kindness; “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.” ( James 3:17-18)

5-122 PEACE LOVING

CORNERSTONE II

CORNERSTONE II

1 Peter 2:6-8” For in Scripture it says: ‘See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.’ Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone, and, “A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.’ “

The Scene: 1)Building blocks showing the Jesus rock as the cornerstone: Jesus the Christ of Nazareth is the first stone (Alpha) to be set in the building’s foundation/ construction. This also represents the Church’s foundation. 2) The doorway arch shows the last stone (capstone-OMEGA) to be set in the top of the arch, which represents the completion of the Church. 3) Jesus is the doorway through which all must pass, if they are to come to eternal salvation.

John 14:6-7 “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.’ “

Matthew 7:7-8 ” Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS

FORGIVE US OUR DEBTS

Isaiah 43:25 ” I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

The Scene: A pastoral scene of green and rolling hills– engulfing the hills is a white mist/fog that represents transgressions against the Lord by His people. But, Jesus, through His Holy Spirit, reminds us that He, the great I AM, can blot out our sins for His own sake and remember them no more.

Isaiah 44:22 “I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.”

Micah 7:18-19 “Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.”

5-118 FORGIVENESS

GO TO THE WELL

GO TO THE WELL

Isaiah 12:3 “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

The Scene: A water well–the representation of God’s Word, living water.

Notice the bucket and hand crank which have been provided. The water is there; but each person must draw from the well in his/her own faith that God will provide what He has promised. Action on our part is always required because everything we receive from our heavenly Father is through faith. *

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

*Our Father God is forgiving, full of grace and mercy. However, He requires that we act in His specific ways, pleasing to Him.

James 1:22 “You see that his faith and actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.” The Scripture refers to Abraham, who was willing to obey God’s directions and to sacrifice his own son, Isaac. He trusted God completely, stepped out in faith, and was rewarded for his obedience. We are required to go to the well, the living Word of our Lord and do what He says. Then, like father Abraham, we also will be rewarded.

5-128 LIVING WORD

CALM SEA

iSAIAH 43:25 “

CALM SEA

Matthew 8:26-27 “He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, ‘What kind of man is this?’ Even the wind and the waves obey him!’ “

The Scene: A stained glass window-like representation of the churning blue-green sea.

Psalm 107:29-30 “He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.”

The Lord, our God, desires His children, believers in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to bring their problems & troubled seas to Him– He alone can bring us lasting peace and calm over life’s troubled seas.

Psalm 107:31 “Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men.”

Let us give Him praise and exalt His name forever!

5-117 BRINGING CALM

THAT YOU MAY SEE

THAT YOU MAY SEE

Matthew 13:16 “But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

The Scene: A bottle of eye drops–symbolic of Jesus who provides the eyesight for our souls and spirits. Only He is the One who is allows us to see spiritually and clearly from His Word.

Ephesians 1:18 “I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” (The Apostle Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians.)

Hebrews 12:2 “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

5-116 SPIRITUAL EYE SIGHT

TO SEE CLEARLY

TO SEE CLEARLY

Mark 8:25 “Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.”

In the scene is a pair of trifocal glasses-three lens in one. Each part of the lens represents a part of the Holy Trinity: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit. Each part helps the wearer to see more clearly the area he is trying view/inspect. All three parts of the lens are required. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are always in agreement with each other to form the whole picture.

Like the trifocal lens, we need the Holy Trinity for us to see the spiritual realm clearly.

Hebrews 12:2 “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Psalm 25:15 ” My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare.”

5-114 FIX EYES

IN TIME OF NEED

Romans 15:4 “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.”

The Scene: An open Bible– a gentle breeze blowing across the pages, representation of the Holy Spirit, as wind causing the pages of the Bible to turn.

There is no stronger force on earth than God’s Holy Word.

Deuteronomy 11:18 “Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.”

John 20:30-31 “Jesus did many miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

God has given His children His Word for all those in need, those who will hear His voice and call Him by His name, Jesus Christ.

Psalm 119:130 “The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.”

5-113 TIME OF NEED

BREATH OF LIFE

The Scene: Symbolic hand of God with a spring of His living water, giving life to many flora and fauna abounding in the the spring waters.

Job 12:10 “In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.”

All creatures of the earth, all humankind, know and have felt the hand of our God.

John 10:27-30 ” ‘My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.’ “

God almighty is the Creator of all! Give Him your praises and honor Him.

Acts 17:25,28 “And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own people have said, ‘ We are his offspring.’ “
