HE WHO IS AGAINST ME

John 13:18 ” ‘I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the Scripture: ‘He who shares my bread has lifted up his heel against me.’ ”

The Scene: The foot and heel of a man representing Satan and a loaf of bread–Jesus as the Bread of Life.

John 6:33 ” ‘For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.’ ”

All life comes from God the Father. Life eternal is given by God’s Son, Jesus Christ, Savior of the world.

John 6:51 ” ‘ I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.’ ”

Satan tried his best to kill and destroy Jesus by having Him nailed to a cross to die.  But the enemy of God failed. In three days, Jesus was alive again and is, forevermore. Hallelujah! Maranatha, come, Lord Jesus.

5-79 JESUS, BREAD OF LIFE

HIS EXCELLENT WORD

2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

The Scene: A hand-cut stone foundation, for a structure is being laid down in place– straight, plumb, square.

A Christian song written by Michael Hayden in 1822, “How Firm a Foundation”  “How firm a foundation ye saints of the Lord, is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!” So goes this hymn– God gave His Word to His people, so that what they believe and have faith in is true to His Word.

There are many people who lack this God-given foundation and who spread false teachings and lies to others, for their own purposes. Their victims are people who are unsaved or untrained in God’s Word, immature persons. All will one day be judged rightly by God, so it is very important to get His Word firmly planted  in our minds and hearts, correctly, which only comes through reading, hearing, studying His revelation, His Word the Holy Bible.

2 Timothy 2:16 & 19 “Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. Their teaching will spread like gangrene.  v.19 “Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: ‘The Lord knows those who are his,’ and, ‘Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.’ ”

5-77 FIRM FOUNDATION

SILVER AND GOLD

1Peter 1:18-19 “For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”

The Scene: Gold bars–representation of the world’s wealth.

The world’s financial system measures wealth in silver and gold. Father God values us, His children, more than silver or gold. For we know the world’s wealth will perish, but those who belong to our God and King, Jesus Christ, will not perish, but will have eternal life forever in heaven  with Him.  Matthew 6:24  “No one can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money.”

Revelation 18:11,17 “The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more–cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble. v. 17 In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin! ‘Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off.’ ”

But the wealth of Christians will be stored in their heavenly homes awaiting their forever rewards, if tithes and offerings have been sent ahead.  (See Malachi 3:10 )

5-74 WEALTH

BLESSED HOPE

Luke 21:27 “At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

The Scene: Representation of Jesus, our Savior and Messiah, returning to earth coming on a cloud just as He said he would and we are told in His Word.

Romans 15:13 “May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Titus 2:11-13 ” For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope–the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

He, Jesus, has placed  this blessed hope in us.

Colossians 1:27 “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

5-73 HOPE

MY GARDEN

Song of Songs 4:12 ” You are a garden locked up, my sister, my bride; you are a spring enclosed, a sealed fountain.”

The Scene: Brightly colored flowers gently swaying in the breeze–the flowers represent Christian people. Each is different having been given different gifts of the Spirit. The breeze is the Holy Spirit. Three birds in the background symbolize the Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

1 Corinthians 12:4,11 “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.  v. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.”

All of the Holy Spirit’s gifts work together in harmony for the good of the Kingdom of God. Father God is the gardener; He plants, He sows, He waters, He harvests as He wills.

John 15: 1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.”

OUR GOD OF PEACE

Proverbs 14:30 “A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.”

The Scene: A representation of a tranquil scene of the Sea of Galilee, brought on by  a prayerful request to God to bring peace during a  troubled time.

Colossians 3:15 “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”

The only true peace that lasts comes from our God of peace.

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

HONOR HIM

1 Chronicles 29:10- 11 ” David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, ‘Praise be to you, O Lord, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.’ ”

The Scene: Accolades shown honoring Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

NAMES & TITLES OF JESUS

• JESUS: His name; The Lord saves, Savior, Yeshua
• LORD: His position; Ruler of all, Adonai
• CHRIST: His anointing; the Anointed One, Messiah

5-70 HONORING THE LORD

HE LOOKS INTO THE HEART

2 Corinthians 4:6 “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.’ ”

The Scene: A laser-like light shining from the symbolic eye of the Lord Jesus, as if shining from His eye into the eyes of mankind–thus showing us God looks through a man’s soul and into the heart.

Hebrews 4:12-13 ” For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 5-69 MAN’S HEART

THIS STONE

1 Peter 2:7-8 ” Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,’ and, ‘A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.’ ”

The Scene: A stone block representing Jesus Christ as a contrast….a cornerstone, a capstone and a stepping stone to salvation to some people and to others a stumbling block.

1 Peter 2:4-6″As you come to him, the living Stone–rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him–you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 5-68 JESUS, A STONE

SIGNS OF LIFE & VICTORY

John 12:13 “They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the King of Israel!’ ”

The Scene: Crossed date palm branches–looking like crossed swords; signs of life and victory and symbolic of righteousness.*
