THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD
Song of Solomon 3:1“Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfume: Your name is like perfume pouring out. No wonder the maids love you. v.6 ” Who is coming up from the desert like a column of smoke, perfumed with myrrh & incense?”
The perfume bottle is a symbol of the presence of the Lord.
2Corinthians 2:15 “For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ (which exhales) unto God, (discernible alike) among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; v. 16 “to the latter it is an aroma (waft) from death to death~~~a fatal odor, the smell of doom; to the former it is an aroma from life to life~~~a vital fragrance, living and fresh.” (AMP)
PERFUME: Latin; “pef” = Through & “fumus”=smoke =”through the smoke”
Hebrew: “cet-oh-rath”= perfume=smoke=”sweet smoke”
