TRUST NOT IN IDOLS

TRUST NOT IN IDOLS

Isaiah 44:9 “All who make idols are nothing, and the things they treasure are worthless. Those who would speak up for them are blind; they are ignorant, to their own shame.”

The Scene: A hand-made wooden idol–trust not in idols, whether wood, silver, gold, or money. “Trusting in false idols leads to ignorance, shame, and ruin,” said the Holy Spirit through His Word.

Isaiah 44:10-11 “Who shapes a god and casts an idol, which can profit him nothing? He and his kind will be put to shame; craftsmen are nothing but men. Let them all come together and take their stand; they will be brought down to terror and infamy.” Also read v v.12-21 for better understanding.

Man uses his resources for many things, including making idols–people who fashion or trust in idols have no understanding of what they do.

Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
