John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘ I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’ “

The Scene: A lighthouse with its bright light piecing the darkness. People in their boats are seen coming toward the light and into the light source. Some of the people have turned away from the light and returned to the darkness while some have hit the rocky, shallow water and are sunk/lost forever.

John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.”

God’s people are those born-again Christians called by the Holy Spirit to stay in the light (His Word).

Ephesians 5:8-10 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of light consists of all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.”
