Isaiah 40:30-31 “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
The Scene: A great bald eagle with wings outstretched wide–arching upward. The mountains in the background represent Father God along with the cumulonimbus clouds that give off their thermal winds as the eagle seeks to go higher and higher.
Exodus 15:1-2 “Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord: ‘I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted. The horse and rider he has hurled into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.’ ” (the song of Moses and Miriam)
AS God’s people sing praises to our God we are brought up higher, closer to Father God. It is only when we give Him praise that we can soar (spiritually speaking) higher.
Psalm 48:1-2 “Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain. It is beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth. Like the utmost heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King.” (Jesus Christ our Lord)
Psalm 68:4 ” Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds–his name is the Lord–and rejoice before him.”
It is by our faith that we can come to God and give Him praise.
Hebrews 11:6 ” And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
