Song of Solomon 2:4 “He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.”
The Scene: Representation of Jesus’ banquet table set for his Christian people, those whose names are written in the Book of Life. Table is set with silver and gold utensils, linen cloth, food of all kinds along with gourds for decorations, baked goods, meats and china; olive branch design through the center of the tablecloth.
The Holy Spirit enlightens us to say, ‘The banquet table is intended to show that Jesus Christ provides for His people, but also to emphasize that Jesus desires to be with us, drawing us to himself.’
Isaiah 25:6 “On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine–the best of meats and the finest of wines.”
Romans 8:35 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?”
