Philippines 1:9-11 “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in the knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ– to the glory and praise of God.”

The Scene: A small pleasure craft adrift, without rudder or captain– the boat drifts, pushed by whatever force comes by. It may be a wind from any direction, or it may be currents of  water—a representation of lost (unsaved/ non-believers)  people in this world.

God’s people, those who follow God’s commands and believe in His Word, must be filled with His Holy Spirit, which can give us Godly spiritual direction in our lives–so we can follow Him only, and not be misled  in some other direction (false teachings), and led by worldly people who only seek worldly pleasures.

A nation without a Godly president or leader is like a ship without a rudder– pray for Godly leaders, asking that they be filled with Godly wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discernment.

1 John 2:18  “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and forever.”
