Psalm 32:7 “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

The Scene:  On a high cliff sits an eagle’s nest, perched  above the troubled waters. Eaglets are sitting, contained safely within the nest with the parent nearby–a small tree grows among the rocks, providing shade for the eaglets.

The parent eagle has provided a safe place–protection from the elements and predators.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the  protector of His people, those who are believers in His Word. He protects us from the enemy, Satan, when we listen/read His Word and do what He says.

Psalm 64:1-2 “Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy. Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of evildoers.”

Isaiah 57:15 “For this is what the high and lofty One says–he who lives forever, whose name is holy:  ‘I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.’ ”
