PREPARED IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON
2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage–with great patience and careful instruction.”
The Scene: A winter scene with snow covered chalet and surrounding area.
Stay in the Word night and day, then you will be prepared for whatever comes–trouble or opportunities for ministry. The Holy Spirit will always help us in this regard. Pray every day for those opportunities, asking the Holy Spirit to give the words to say and the boldness to say them to someone in need of a boost. This may open the door to someone’s eternal salvation.
John 16:13-15 “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.”
We can always count on the Holy Spirit to give us Godly wisdom, guidance, and counsel.
1 Peter 3:15 ” But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
