The Scene: Broken shackles–symbolic of freedom from the chains of sin and death, that only comes through the freedom that Jesus Christ our Lord can bring.*

*Some nations celebrate Independence Day, a day of freedom, but only in the physical sense. Real freedom comes to those who choose to be born-again, by believing in Jesus the only Son of our heavenly Father and by trusting in Him through repentance.

Galatians 5:1 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Romans 8:1-2 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.”

2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
